Why the photo matters
eBay shows you the small photo.
Every listing photo has a full-size master behind it. The listing page serves you a shrunk copy (s-l500). GemSnipe pulls the master — the biggest file eBay has. Ask for anything larger and you get the same bytes back.
Then zoom 24× past that: about 2.29 µm of cardboard per screen pixel. A soft corner, a nicked edge, a print line — in a thumbnail they're a smudge. Here you just look.
